We are pleased to report that the Fund's efforts to furnish a Book Nook at RCF have been successfully completed. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Details of our success appear below.

Miss Wilson’s Book Nook is a living tribute to Heather Wilson, Rock Creek Forest’s dearly loved reading teacher.

As much as Miss Wilson loved her Starbucks and pearls, even closer to her heart was her passion for books.  Rock Creek Forest has honored Miss Wilson by honoring what she did best – sharing her love of reading with the students of Rock Creek Forest.

Miss Wilson’s Book Nook is an informal lending library.  Children (and parents) are encouraged to browse the shelves and borrow books that interest them.  The Book Nook operates very informally – no signing out (and no late fees!!).  Just an honor system.  The School asks that students bring the books back when they are done to help keep the shelves stocked.  (And, of course, donations of used books are always welcome!).
