Oncology Ward, Sibley Memorial Hospital

 


         We are pleased to report that the Fund's efforts to furnish a cancer patient family room on the Oncology Ward at Sibley Memorial Hospital  have been successfully completed. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Details of our success appear below.

 

 

 

 

The Fund has provided funding for the furnishing for a new Family Room  on the Oncology floor at Sibley Hospital to be used by family members of hospitalized oncology patients.

The Hospital has completed renovations of the room , and carpeting, wallpaper, furnishings and appliances have arrived and been installed.

The furnishings include a full sized refrigerator and freezer, with ice maker, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a table and chairs, and comfortable lounge chairs which convert to beds.

Additionally, the Fund has  purchased three mobile recliner chairs to be used by family members in  patient rooms.
